Mini Tasbihs.

When I went to Casablanca about a month and a half ago with my friends, we mostly prayed at different mosques, did some sightseeing, ate really good food, shopped- the usual.

But on my last day there, something random caught my attention. The bazaars were selling a lot of tasbihs… but not just regular ones. They had these miniature-sized tasbihs everywhere.

Prior to this trip, I never thought about making mini sized tasbihs. I was only making full 99 bead ones or honesty- just random counts I was more focused on making them look pretty and long.

But walking through those Casablanca bazaars shifted something in me.

I loved the miniature tasbihs they were selling. Different sizes, shapes, designs.

I loved it.

When I came back, I started making 33-bead tasbihs; which is another standard size. That felt like a natural next step.

Then yesterday, inspiration just hit me.

I decided to make mini tasbihs with 5 beads per section- 15 beads total.

They’re less in quantity, but with jumbo beads.

They're perfect for kids.

This idea did come in my mind last week, but it wasn't until I sat down last night with all the beads and strings- that I started putting it together.

They're for kids that are learning about Islam and parents that want to sit with their kids and do dikhr.. its perfect for their small hands and not too many beads (only 15 total) so that they can easily recite small words..

I'm surprised I didn't think of this sooner.

So this is my new activity now.. making kid's tasbihs..

And a part of me can’t help but feel like maybe… this is one of the reasons Allah took me back to Casablanca again.
